Job Title:
Quality Engineer Job Description We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support and enhance quality performance. This role is essential in ensuring that our products meet contractual, regulatory, and customer requirements, particularly within the nuclear industry quality standards. Responsibilities Ensure products are manufactured and released in compliance with contract requirements and the Quality Management System. Maintain and support an ISO 9001-based Quality Management System, including procedures, records, and training. Support internal, customer, and nuclear quality audits. Lead corrective and preventive actions through the Corrective Action Program (CAP). Investigate and resolve nonconformances and customer complaints. Support supplier quality activities, including evaluations, audits, and issue resolution. Apply quality tools and data-driven methods to improve process capability. Perform root cause analysis (8D, 5 Why) and implement effective corrective actions. Review drawings, specifications, inspection plans, and quality records. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related). 3+ years of Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of FMEA, PPAP, APQP, SPC, and 8D. Experience with inspection equipment and statistical analysis. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in the nuclear industry or other highly regulated environments (e.g., 10 CFR 50 AppendixB, 10 CFR 21
) and support of audits, documentation, and regulated products. ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA). Six Sigma Green Belt. Work Environment The work environment involves spending approximately 60% of the time on the computer and 40% on the floor. The role requires travel once a quarter, which may include overnight stays. The work involves being data-driven, with a focus on quality analysis, documentation, reporting, and working with ERP systems like N4 and N3. The company supports professional growth, having recently sent employees for Six Sigma Green Belt certifications. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Solon, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $46.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
