Job Description

Quality EngineerPosition Overview The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining robust quality management systems that ensure manufacturing processes and products consistently meet or exceed established quality standards. This role plays a critical part in driving continuous improvement, performing in‑depth root cause analysis, and partnering cross‑functionally to enhance product performance, process capability, and production efficiency. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on problem solver with a strong analytical mindset, proven success delivering process improvements, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners. Key Responsibilities + Establish, maintain, and improve quality control systems and procedures across manufacturing operations + Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) efforts using structured problem‑solving methodologies + Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and related tools + Support APQP and PPAP activities, including documentation, validation, and supplier coordination + Partner with Supplier Quality and Manufacturing teams to address quality issues and improve supplier performance + Analyze quality metrics and data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities + Conduct internal audits and support external audits to maintain compliance with ISO‑9000 standards + Collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to improve process effectiveness and reduce defects + Support cost reduction initiatives through improved quality and process optimization + Manage and contribute to quality‑related projects, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget Required Skills & Expertise + Quality Engineering principles and methodologies + Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing + Root Cause Analysis and CAPA implementation + APQP and PPAP + Supplier Quality management + Six Sigma tools and methodologies + Project Management + Mechanical Engineering background + Statistical Process Control (SPC), DOE, and data analysis + Strong problem‑solving and analytical capabilities Top Skills + Continuous Improvement + Lean Manufacturing + Project Management + Mechanical Engineering + Quality Engineering + Root Cause Analysis + CAPA + APQP + Supplier Quality + PPAP Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, or a related field (required) + 7-10 years of experience in plant quality and/or continuous improvement roles + ASQ Certification (preferred) + Experience with ISO‑9000 standards, auditing, and testing + Strong working knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean, and structured problem‑solving tools (8D, FMEA, etc.) + Proficiency with statistical analysis software and quality tools + Experience with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Wonderware strongly preferred Additional Requirements + Ability to work effectively with vendors, contractors, plant personnel, and corporate engineering teams + Strong communication skills with the ability to engage all levels of the organization + Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment + Strong work ethic, teamwork mindset, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision + Solid understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and data‑driven decision making Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Oklahoma City, OK.
