Job Title:
Quality Engineer Job Description We are seeking a Quality Engineer for an exciting opportunity in Memphis, TN. The role involves supporting new product launches, driving continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment, and ensuring high-quality production and customer satisfaction through the implementation of quality standards and management of corrective actions. Responsibilities Lead quality planning for new product introductions using APQP methodologies. Support quoting and process design from a quality perspective. Develop inspection processes, control plans, and documentation. Investigate customer and supplier discrepancies and drive corrective actions (8D, RCA). Partner with suppliers on quality improvements and audits. Implement and maintain ISO and quality system requirements. Analyze data using SPC and other quality tools to improve processes. Support training initiatives related to quality standards and practices. Work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and customers. Supervise quality technicians and inspectors. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial, or similar). 5+ years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing (electronics preferred). Experience with core quality tools (PFMEA, Control Plans, 8D, SPC, Lean/Six Sigma, etc.). Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills. Experience with ISO standards and audits. Additional Skills & Qualifications Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus. Experience with new product introductions and quality planning. Experience in process optimization to enhance customer satisfaction. Experience working with suppliers and customers. Experience in fast-paced environments. Familiarity with quality tools including PFMEA, PFD, Control Plans, 8D, A3, DMAIC, Lean Six Sigma, PDCA, PPAP, AQP, Audit, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, TPM, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Process Capacity, 3Way 5Whys, Risk Assessment, and Failure Tree Analysis. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $45.00/hr.
