Contract Position Description:
Seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to lead testing efforts for USPS customer tools in a remote contract role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual and automated testing within cloud environments, ensuring the quality and reliability of application releases from staging to production. Responsibilities include reviewing test requirements, designing and executing test cases, performing regression and smoke testing, and validating deployments. Transitioning manual tests to automated scripts using Playwright will be a key part of your role. Effective communication, meticulous documentation, and collaboration with developers are essential to successful deployment and issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
Review test requirements, specifications, and documentation for each release in staging and production environments Prepare and manage test data for testing activities Design, execute, and document functional and regression test cases Perform smoke, sanity, and functional testing in staging and production environments Log, prioritize, and track defects using ALM and VersionOne tools Collaborate with developers to verify defect fixes and validate deployments Monitor logs and system alerts to identify issues Create comprehensive test documentation, including results, coverage, and outstanding issues Develop and maintain automated tests utilizing Playwright Communicate testing findings and participate in release meetings
Top Requirements:
Minimum of 15 years of professional testing experience, with significant expertise in quality assurance processes At least 1 year of load testing experience using Azure Load Test Suite and jMeter Hands-on experience with testing applications within Google Cloud Platform, IBM WebSphere, and Wildfly environments About Seneca Resources At Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm — we are a trusted career partner.
