Job Description At Lakeshore, every product that reaches a child has been held to a standard — and you're part of how we set it. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you'll own the testing strategy for our toys, soft goods, and plastics, translating product requirements into rigorous test plans that give our design and development teams the confidence to move forward. Your analysis shapes real product decisions, and your work connects directly to the safety and reliability of products used by children and families every day. A day on the job looks like this: Own the end-to-end product test plan for assigned categories — toys, plastics, and soft goods — from new product development baselines through final performance validation Analyze test results against defined requirements and deliver clear, concise summaries that give cross-functional teams the insight they need to make sound product decisions Identify and apply relevant ASTM and industry standards for raw materials and finished goods, building and maintaining a library of test methods that ensures consistency across in-house and third-party lab testing Partner with RD&D and Global Sourcing to align product design with performance requirements, presenting test plans and results in terms that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences Collaborate with the in-house lab manager to assess testing capabilities and coordinate with third-party labs to close gaps Share expertise with RD&D partners on applicable testing standards, helping the broader team make better-informed design decisions earlier in development Qualifications Got the skills and experience?
