MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
Oversees the responsibility for ensuring that the appropriate current standard quality systems are implemented and effective. Meets with customers to negotiate quality standards, resolve quality issues, and perform Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) on new programs. Responsible for managing quality technicians. Manages day to day activities for the quality department. Responsible for reporting corporate KPIs monthly.
KEY AREAS OF ACTIVITY AND RESPONSIBILITY
Manage QHSE programs to ensure compliance with
ISO:
9001/14001/45001 and AAR regulations. Represents the organization in regulatory and customer audits as needed. Devise and implement quality systems/procedures that provide continuous improvement methodology supporting engineering consistency, design and advance quality planning. Ensure that the product and processes meet appropriate ISO and Railroad standards Coordinate in-process audits in compliance with current standards. Problem solve, analyze and introduce corrective action from these audits. Maintain close communication with customers to ensure quality expectations are met and that corrective actions are completed on time. Manage CAR and NC material flow and organized MRB meeting to disposition material Facilitate top management review meetings and maintain the integrity of the QMS. Ensure new products and process changes follow the Production Part Approval Process. Analyze CCR data with CFT to ensure proper actions are taking place and driven to completion. Use six sigma tools and methodology to resolve process and business problems. Perform and manage the in-process checks pertaining to microstructural evaluation Ensures the organization is compliant with quality, H&S and environment regulations including training and qualification requirements to personnel. Interacts with global quality network to improve and standardize group documents and processes. Reviews AAR Circulars, CH7 reporting and communicates relevant information to the organization. Manages QC Tech schedules and provide feedback as needed. Perform other duties as needed or requested by Manager.

SKILLS NEEDED
Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline or non-technical degree with 10 years of relevant experience Metallurgical experience required to perform root cause analysis NDT Level 2 - Experience using Magnaflux equipment. Qualified auditor with knowledge of
ISO 9001
quality management systems or equivalent - desired Understanding of Heat treatment, Forging of Steels, and injection molding of Plastics Six Sigma and lean certifications or training Self-starter that can work in an independent manner. Demonstrated knowledge of Quality tools like PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), problem solving tools like A3 and 8D Demonstrated knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) Computer proficient; detailed and comprehensive report writing Knowledge and experience with basic problem-solving tools Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization Excellent interpersonal, communication and documentation skills Ability to manage teams across multiple shifts.
MEASUREMENT
Primary measures of successful performance will be: On-time customer support and corrective action reporting. Accurate and on-time data reporting. Several departmental KPIs measuring the KPIV and KPOVs
