Avionics Verification Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking an Avionics Verification Engineer for a 12-month contract position based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In this role, you will perform design, requirements, validation, and verification tasks supporting MH-60M and MH-47G cockpit avionics for the US Army Special Operations Aviation (SOA) programs. Responsibilities Perform design, requirements, validation, and verification tasks for MH-60M and MH-47G cockpit avionics systems. Execute platform systems-specific, on-site requirements-based testing, robustness testing, and ad-hoc testing in a lab environment, with schedule flexibility during formal test phases. Support cross-functional team development with external customer stakeholders and internal software and hardware engineering teams across different Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS) builds. Utilize various engineering tools including TNT, DOORS, JIRA, PREP, Microsoft products, SVN, and others. Perform investigations of Collins Aerospace lab hardware and environment, including integration investigations of interfaces between Collins Aerospace equipment and government-furnished equipment. Qualifications Required Relevant avionics systems engineering job experience. Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM). Working knowledge and understanding of data busses and protocols (Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553B, ARINC-429). Preferred Military avionics experience. Experience with TNT, DOORS, PREP, JIRA, and/or Microsoft Office Suite.
