Battery V&V Engineer Location:
Elkhart, IN Mandatory Requirements to
Apply:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, Electronics, or related Engineering field Minimum 8+ years of experience in Battery Verification & Validation (V&V) Strong hands-on experience with Battery Modules and High Voltage (HV) Battery Packs Experience creating and managing DVP&R (Design Verification Plan & Report) documentation Expertise in Structural, Thermal, Electrical/Electronics, Leakage, Humidity, and Vibration Testing Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA, Risk Assessment, and Root Cause Analysis Knowledge of battery qualification, certification, and compliance testing Hands-on experience with DAQ systems, battery cyclers, environmental chambers, chillers, and test scripting Strong analytical and reporting skills with experience in test data analysis and visualization Ability to coordinate with external testing laboratories and cross-functional engineering teams
Roles & Responsibilities:
Own and manage the Battery Design Verification & Validation (DVP) Plan for EV battery projects Lead development and execution of performance, durability, abuse, thermal, electrical, and environmental testing for battery systems Create and maintain DVP&R documentation, test plans, specifications, and technical reports Coordinate and supervise in-house and external testing activities, including test readiness reviews and lab communication Collaborate with Battery Systems, Mechanical, Electronics, Manufacturing, and Product Development teams to ensure product quality and risk mitigation
