About the Role Parametrix is looking for an engineering intern to join our Water team in Puyallup. If you're studying civil or mechanical engineering- with a strong interest in water infrastructure-and want hands-on exposure to real-world water projects, this is a great opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
Our Puyallup team focuses on pump stations and the mechanical equipment that keeps water systems running. As an intern, you'll gain exposure to: Pump station design and mechanical equipment layout Pipeline design, particularly where tied to pump stations Water main design and basic system layout Potential treatment-related components Engineering design analysis (EDA) support Light field work and site visits Construction-phase support and coordination You'll work alongside experienced engineers and designers, contributing to active projects while building your technical skills and understanding of how water systems come together-from concept through construction. What We're Looking For Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering with an interest in water resources or municipal infrastructure Interest in water systems, pump stations, and related mechanical equipment Strong communication and teamwork skills
Compensation Information:
Hourly rate for this position is in the range of $24-26/hour. Compensation is determined by factors such as education, experience, location, and role. We conduct an equity review for all positions.
