About the Opportunity Our client is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join their growing team in Austin, Texas. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of water resources projects across Central Texas, including watershed studies, flood risk assessments, drainage infrastructure improvements, stormwater management, and floodplain analysis. The ideal candidate will be a licensed Professional Engineer with strong technical expertise and a passion for delivering innovative solutions for municipal, transportation, and private-sector clients. Key Responsibilities Lead the planning, design, and delivery of water resources projects throughout Texas. Perform and oversee hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for drainage, stormwater, watershed, and floodplain projects. Develop and review HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and other hydraulic and hydrologic models. Prepare technical reports, drainage studies, floodplain analyses, and engineering recommendations. Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders. Manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and deliverables. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and EITs. Support proposal development and client relationship management efforts. Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews of technical work products. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain through reciprocity. 7+ years of water resources engineering experience. Strong experience with floodplain management, drainage design, stormwater systems, and watershed studies. Proficiency with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, GIS, and related modeling software. Experience managing engineering projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Experience
