In this impactful role, you'll support the planning, analysis, and design of water and wastewater projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate Engineer Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or other engineering discipline from an accredited college or university Valid Texas Driver's License Engineer-In-Training Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or other engineering discipline from an accredited college or university The possession of registration as an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) in the State of Texas; or, if licensed in another state, continued employment will be contingent upon obtaining registration as an Engineer-In-Training within the State of Texas within six months of employment.

Valid Texas Driver's License Preferred Qualifications:

Previous work or internship experience with a municipality, water/sewer engineering consultant, or development industry Engineer-in-Training certification Proficient skills in Microsoft Word and Excel Exceptional customer service, time management, communication, and writing skills The Capital Delivery Graduate Engineer/Engineer in Training job responsibilities include: Jump into real city engineering projects where you get to help keep water flowing and sewer systems running smoothly Review and compare construction bids, crunch cost estimates, and check out change orders—kind of like being the project's financial detective Handle a mix of phone calls, emails, and questions from all kinds of people. You'll research real engineering challenges and help solve them, so you'll never be bored. Team up with construction inspectors to decode plans, troubleshoot surprises in the field, and make sure final project plans actually match what was built Head out for field inspections to see projects up close and confirm everything is being built the way it's supposed to.
