We partner with schools, districts, state agencies, and other organizations providing education and education related support to implement innovative, research-based solutions that promote student success. SPN fosters inclusive, high-performing learning environments where students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Position Overview SPN is seeking a Texas, bilingual (Spanish-speaking) Grades 4-8 ELA/Social Studies Teacher responsible for delivering high-quality, TEKS-aligned instruction in English Language Arts and Social Studies. The ideal candidate will foster literacy development, critical thinking, and civic understanding while supporting a diverse student population. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in English Language Arts and Social Studies for grades 4-8 Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) Promote reading, writing, language development, and critical thinking skills across content areas Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including English Language Learners (ELLs) Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and guide instruction Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and compliance requirements Establish and maintain a structured, positive classroom environment focused on student achievement Integrate technology, literacy strategies, and primary/secondary source materials into instruction Collaborate with instructional staff, administrator, and support personnel Communicate effectively with students, families, and stakeholders as appropriate Participate in required professional development and staff meetings Support program expectations, policies, and student supervision as needed Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Valid Texas teaching certification in: Core Subjects (Grades 4-8), or English Language Arts and Reading (Grades 4-8), or Strong knowledge of ELA and Social Studies content and instructional strategies Experience working with upper elementary or middle school students preferred Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills Ability to adapt instruction in a structured, high-accountability environment Bilingual in Spanish (required) ESL Certified or in process of obtaining certification Ability to pass federal background check requirements Preferred Qualifications Experience working with English language learners Familiarity with technology-driven or blended learning environments Skills & Abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with student information systems (SIS)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and manage classroom/lab materials
  • Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout instructional periods Compensation & Benefits Salary $79,000
Includes:
