Position Summary:
The Environmental Services Lead 1 is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents, visitors, and staff. This position provides daily leadership and operational support to Environmental Services staff, including both housekeeping and laundry operations. The Lead assists with administrative duties, staff coordination, infection control compliance, inventory management, and supply distribution while ensuring environmental services are delivered efficiently and according to facility policies and regulatory standards. This position may assume supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the Environmental Services Director.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in housekeeping, environmental services, or laundry services required. Experience in healthcare, long-term care, or assisted living environment preferred. Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Ability to provide guidance and direction to team members when needed. Ability to use email and basic office software such as Microsoft Word, and Outlook. Ability to enter and maintain departmental records, schedules, and training documentation. Leadership and Administrative Support Assist with training, onboarding, and mentoring new Environmental Services team members. Assist in overseeing daily operations of the laundry department. Provide daily guidance to staff to ensure proper cleaning procedures, safety practices, and productivity standards are followed. Communicate with team members to ensure assigned tasks and service areas are properly covered. Support departmental operations in the absence of the Environmental Services Director or Assist with staff scheduling, shift coverage, and workflow coordination as needed. Supervisor. Monitor employee performance and report concerns or disciplinary issues to the Director. Monitor supply usage and maintain appropriate inventory levels of housekeeping and laundry supplies. Maintain and monitor par levels for laundry and linen supplies to ensure adequate inventory for facility operations. Ensure housekeeping closets and carts remain stocked, organized, and secure. Maintain proper storage and labeling of chemicals and cleaning products. Report supply shortages, equipment issues, or maintenance concerns to the Director.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure proper infection prevention and control procedures are followed at all times. Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are maintained throughout the facility. Keep utility rooms, storage areas, and service areas clean and orderly. Disinfect and sanitize equipment and high-touch surfaces. Sweep, mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors. Empty wastebaskets and transport trash to designated disposal areas. Clean restrooms and replenish soap, toilet tissue, and paper towels. Clean and sanitize resident equipment such as wheelchairs when necessary. Maintain organization and cleanliness of housekeeping carts and closets. Ensure all assigned areas are properly serviced and maintained.

Pay:
