Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our construction team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing bid proposals, and collaborating closely with project managers and subcontractors. Your expertise will help ensure our projects are financially viable, competitive, and aligned with client expectations. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive construction estimates by reviewing project plans, specifications, and drawings. Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services. Collaborate with project managers and team to understand project scope, schedule, and budget constraints. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. Prepare bid proposals, including detailed breakdowns of costs, timelines, and contractual terms. Monitor ongoing projects to ensure cost control measures are adhered to and identify potential budget overruns early. Assist in contract review and support construction management teams with project planning and execution strategies. Responsible for issuing purchase orders and review invoices for accuracy and coding. Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and site operations. Experience in project management software like Builder Trend preferred, but not required. Solid knowledge of construction contracts, project management principles, and cost control techniques. Ability to perform accurate quantity takeoffs from complex drawings and specifications. Detail oriented and self motivated with the ability to work independently. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration Construction site experience or background in construction management is a plus; familiarity with project scheduling is beneficial.
