Evening Guest Service Agent 3 Gifford Road, Millbrook, NY 12545 $18 an hour - Part-time $18 an hour - Part-time The Millbrook Inn is an upscale 9-bedroom inn and restaurant in Millbrook, NY. We are looking for someone to run the front desk and take the innkeeper duties over two days a week, (Tuesday & Wednesday) when the innkeeper has their days off.

RESPONSIBILITES

include: Handling check-in, from 4-6 pm nightly; answering phones to take reservations for inn and restaurant; prepare morning coffee station for guests; File bills and organize paperwork; greet guests and help with any questions they may have; help with their luggage, etc; make sure lighting, music, flowers, and other other inn "decor" is set up properly each evening; help host and seat restaurant guests when needed from 6-8pm. MONDAY-THURSDAYS

depending on when guests are expected to check in and check out. Normal Shift is 4-Midnight; if there are no guests sleeping on site, your shift will be 4-9PM. All staffers have to be prepared to fill-in for other shifts when team members call in sick or go on vacation; so there is possibility of your sked changing from time to time to pick up a weekend shift or an early morning weekday shift when necessary. Looking for something who is presentable and is willing to dress and present themselves in keeping with an upscale property; someone who loves people and generally likes hospitality and making people happy. This person must also be very detail oriented, a good listener, and a good independent worker. Must be adept at working on a computer, having to learn our reservation system to make deposits and other credit card charges. This person will also have to be comfortable as a "property manager": making sure doors are locked, nothing is leaking, walking around the property to build a fire for guests, and then make sure its out before he/she leaves for the night. Cocktail/Bartending skills are a PLUS, as guests often want drinks, or often the bar is busy and sometimes needs some assistance when inn is quiet. This is a great job for someone who loves hospitality and wants to begin or continue their journey in the hospitality world.
