Job Description
Position Overview The Event Manager oversees planning, coordination, and execution of all on‑site events and festivals. This role blends creativity, logistics, community engagement, and hands‑on leadership. Weekend coverage is required, and the work can be physically demanding at times. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and passionate about the arts, agriculture, and community experiences. Key Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and execute farm events including festivals, themed weekends, private functions, and community programs.
Manage vendor relationships:
recruitment, communication, contracts, placement, and day‑of support. Oversee event logistics such as site layout, staffing needs, equipment, signage, and safety considerations. Handle on‑site operations during events, including setup, breakdown, troubleshooting, and guest support. Create and manage event forms, applications, and workflows using Jotform. Track attendance and performance metrics Engage with local organizations, artists, performers, and community partners to build strong relationships. Seek sponsorships and partnerships to support and grow events. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and assist with physical tasks related to event setup.Qualifications:
Experience in event planning, festival management, hospitality, or related fields. Strong people skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests, vendors, staff, and community partners. Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Comfortable working outdoors and performing physical tasks as needed. Experience with Jotform, Excel, Square, and Canva preferred. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours during peak seasons. Interest in or appreciation for the arts, local agriculture, and community‑based programming. Grant writing experience is a plus. Ability to problem‑solve in real time and maintain a positive, welcoming presence. Schedule & Work Environment Full‑time, year‑round or seasonal‑to‑permanent depending on candidate. Weekend and festival‑day availability required. Outdoor work in all seasons; ability to lift [40+ lbs] and be on your feet for extended periods.Work Location:
