Event Production Manager

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Event Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and success of various live events around the Capitol Region. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Audio, Video, or Lighting production, as team leader experience. This role requires exceptional organizational skills and a passion for creating memorable experiences that meet client expectations. Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and execute events from conception to completion while managing all project phases. Driving Large Box Trucks (12 - 26ft with air brakes) to job sites and effectively backing up/docking. Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, objectives, and budget for each event. Negotiate contracts with vendors, venues, local technicians and suppliers to ensure cost-effective solutions. Manage logistics including venue load in/out, planning accurate call times, and transportation arrangements. Oversee on-site event management to ensure smooth operations during the event. Maintain relationships with clients to foster repeat business and referrals. Conduct post-event follow-ups to assess success and identify areas for improvement. Experience Proven experience in events management or a related field within the hospitality/music industry is essential. Experience in fundraising events or corporate event planning is a plus. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and team members. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed for event execution.
