Responsibilities The Safety Specialist in West Point, PA supports specific project needs by ensuring best practices are implemented, safety compliance requirements are met, and helps enhance a culture of safety. Oversee excavation and underground utility activities at a high-profile operational facility while ensuring compliance with OSHA, client, and site-specific safety requirements. Oversee excavation and trenching activities onsite Ensure compliance with excavation safety standards, permits, and safe work practices Conduct daily safety audits, inspections, and field observations Monitor high-risk construction activities and contractor compliance Participate in daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and pre-task planning Assist with incident investigations, corrective actions, and safety documentation Work closely with project management, field supervision, and subcontractors to maintain a safe work environment Support additional overtime or extended coverage as project needs require Qualifications Strong excavation and trenching safety experience required

Excavation, Trenching, and Soil Mechanics training required
