Safety Specialist Demolition & Remediation | West Point, PA

Responsibilities The Safety Specialist in West Point, PA supports specific project needs by ensuring best practices are implemented, safety compliance requirements are met, and helps enhance a culture of safety. Oversee and support demolition and environmental remediation activities at a high-profile operational facility while ensuring compliance with OSHA, site-specific, and client safety requirements. Support demolition, abatement, and remediation activities onsite Conduct daily safety audits, inspections, and field observations Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, site procedures, and safe work practices Assist with air monitoring and gas meter setup, calibration, and readings Monitor high-risk activities and hazardous work environments Participate in incident investigations, corrective actions, and safety documentation Lead daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee engagement initiatives Work closely with contractors, supervision, and project teams to maintain a safe work environment Support additional overtime or extended coverage as project needs require Qualifications Experience supporting demolition and remediation projects required Asbestos, lead remediation, or hazardous materials experience strongly preferred Ability to utilize and interpret gas monitoring equipment required
