Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic construction team as an Excavator Operator and play a vital role in transforming blueprints into reality! In this energetic position, you'll operate heavy machinery to move earth, materials, and debris efficiently and safely across various construction sites. Your expertise will help ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest safety standards. Duties Operate excavators with precision to dig trenches, foundations, and holes according to project specifications. Assist with the operation of other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and dump trucks to support construction activities. Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Coordinate with site supervisors and team members to execute excavation plans efficiently and safely. Follow all safety protocols and procedures during equipment operation to prevent accidents and injuries. Assist in site preparation activities including grading, leveling, and material handling using various heavy equipment. Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, maintenance needs, and work progress for project documentation. Requirements Proven experience operating excavators in a construction environment with a strong understanding of mechanical systems. Valid commercial driver's license with experience driving heavy equipment or related vehicles such as dump trucks or tanker trucks. Knowledge of construction site safety standards and best practices for heavy equipment operation. Ability to perform basic maintenance checks on machinery like Caterpillar excavators and loaders. Familiarity with other construction machinery including dozers, graders, backhoes, water trucks, horizontal drilling rigs, and paving equipment is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors. Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods. $32.00 - $42.00 per hour
