Facilities & Client Support Assistant

Crossroads Counseling & Training Services Fairbanks, Alaska $16.80-$17.80 per hour DOE Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8-Hour Shifts Join Our Team! Crossroads Counseling & Training Services is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and versatile Facilities & Client Support Assistant to support both facility operations and client services within our organization. This unique dual-role position helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while also providing supportive assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The ideal candidate is service-oriented, flexible, organized, and enjoys being part of a collaborative team that makes a meaningful impact in the community. What You'll Do Facility & Custodial Support Perform routine custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing, and trash removal Clean and sanitize bathrooms, breakrooms, and common areas Restock supplies and maintain inventory of cleaning materials Prepare and tidy facility spaces for daily operations and meetings Assist with furniture and appliance setup or rearrangement Report maintenance or repair issues requiring professional service Secure the facility by locking doors and turning off lights Client & Program Support Provide supportive supervision and engagement for individuals with IDD Transport clients safely to appointments and activities Assist with reception desk coverage, visitor greeting, and phone support as needed Pick up and deliver agency supplies, materials, and equipment Maintain accurate documentation related to transportation and service activities Communicate professionally and respectfully with clients, staff, and community partners What We're Looking For Ability to work effectively with individuals who have intellectual and behavioral differences Strong communication, organization, and time management skills Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a team Good judgment, reliability, and attention to detail Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, computers, and basic software applications (training provided) Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to perform physical tasks throughout the workday Flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends when needed Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED At least 6 months of custodial, janitorial, maintenance, or related experience Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English Valid driver's license and clean driving record Reliable vehicle with current auto insurance Ability to pass an Alaska Background Check Unit criminal history check Current TB test (may be completed upon hire) CPR/First Aid certification preferred (training available) Working Conditions Indoor and occasional outdoor work in varying weather conditions Moderate noise level Assisted living and human services environment Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, carrying, and movement throughout the day Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds Why Work With Us?
