Facilities Coordinator

Rakks Facilities Coordinator | May 2026 Rakks is a 55-year-old Architectural Shelving and Support Hardware company that recently completed renovation on a fabrication facility, warehouse, office and showroom in Westborough, MA. We are seeking an experienced Facilities Coordinator to maintain the building and grounds, equipment and supplies, help us meet health and safety standards, and ensure that our new building and grounds are accommodating and safe for our employees, visitors, and the environment around us. You will help us preserve the infrastructure's good condition and ensure that our lean, solar-powered, energy-efficient facility is functioning smoothly. Our ideal candidate is a clear communicator, a systems thinker, curious, mechanically skilled, and detail oriented. We are also looking for someone who is hands-on and has the ability to collaborate with a diverse team.

Your responsibilities will include:

Physical Plant

• : Fire, HVAC, electrical, plumbing/septic, EV charging.
• : Emergency procedures and systems maintenance, local availability off-hours if needed.
• : Interfacing with our GC on ongoing punch list and continuing renovation projects.
• : maintenance and fixes.
• : Managing cleaning staff; training employees to uphold cleanliness standards.
• : Managing landscaping; green pest control; snow removal; managing composting and other eco efforts.
• : Managing inspections and maintenance.
• : Working with our IT company to manage installation, repair and upgrade work.
• : Exterior signage maintenance; parking lot striping and stops maintenance.
• : Assisting with appliance and equipment purchase and maintenance; also selling/donating/recycling used equipment or furniture.
• : Keeping organized documentation and records; reviewing utilities consumption and striving to minimize costs. Production Support
• : Helping our Production Manager with machine and equipment permitting, repair and purchasing; also performing regular machine maintenance and filter replacement.
• : Training employees on forklift and safety; general safety and emergencies; PPE; cleaning; and maintenance procedures.
• : Includes coordinating trash, recycling, scrap metals and more.
• : Working with our Purchasing Agent on green cleaning, shop and safety supplies. Requirements and skills
• Proven experience in facilities management or a relevant position in a shop environment.
• Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices.
• Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• High standard of ethics and values in relating with colleagues and vendors.

$75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
