Role:

The Facilities Maintenance Craftsman is a skilled, multi-trade position focused on hands-on maintenance and repair work. Incumbents will complete day-to-day tasks and quick-turnaround repairs as directed by leadership and provide on-demand support to operational sections including Fabrication, Construction, Irrigation, and the Mechanics Garage. Two positions are available. Both are expected to be accessible and responsive throughout the workday, executing assignments from senior leadership and section supervisors as needs arise. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Facilities Maintenance & Repair Complete standalone maintenance and repair tasks, typically resolved within a single workday. Perform routine inspections and address minor issues before they develop into larger repairs. Document completed work and communicate any findings that require further attention. Cross-Departmental Support Provide skilled labor and general assistance to Fabrication, Construction, Irrigation, and Mechanics Garage teams as needed. Perform assigned tasks across sections without disrupting ongoing project work. Respond to same-day work requests from leadership and adjust priorities accordingly.

General Trades Plumbing:

repairs, installations, fixture replacement, and general troubleshooting. (Highly Desired)

Carpentry:

patching, framing, fencing, hardware installation, and minor structural repairs.

Painting:

interior and exterior surfaces, including prep and finish work.

Basic electrical:

fixture and outlet replacement, general troubleshooting (within non-licensed scope).

Concrete and masonry:

patching and minor flatwork. Basic equipment maintenance, lubrication, and minor mechanical adjustments. Errands & Material Support Retrieve materials, equipment, or supplies as directed by leadership. Transport items between job sites or off-site locations as needed. Who You Are............... Proven background in general handyman or facilities maintenance work spanning multiple trades. Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and respond to shifting assignments throughout the day. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and general equipment. Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles. Nice to Have................. Plumbing — strongly desired. Experience with repairs, installations, fixture replacement, and general troubleshooting. Candidates with plumbing background should highlight it in their application. Irrigation systems, including line repair, valve work, and basic timer/controller familiarity. Experience in landscaping, nursery, horticulture, or outdoor operations environments.
