What you'll do Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on facility and production equipment Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues to root cause Complete inspections to verify performance and safety compliance Document work performed, parts used, and findings Respond to urgent calls to minimize downtime Partner with team members to improve reliability and throughput Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations Carry out other tasks as assigned Must-haves Minimum 1 year of mechanical experience within the last 2 years (combined employers acceptable) Eligible rehire only after 365 days, with fewer than 3 prior terms 18+ years old with valid identification Comfortable using basic hand tools Knowledge across welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics, and plumbing Able to read and understand work instructions Capable of lifting 50 lbs; climbing stairs up to 120 feet and ladders up to 60 feet; standing for extended periods; and working in extreme hot, cold, and inclement conditions Proficiencies Mechanical troubleshooting Motor replacement/repair/maintenance Hydraulics Electrical troubleshooting and repair Pneumatics troubleshooting General maintenance and repair Blueprint reading Tools and tech you'll handle Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) Conveyor systems Servo motors Compensation and benefits (day one) Competitive pay; may include shift premiums and attendance bonuses Paid time off and longevity pay Medical benefits 401(k) with company match Career growth opportunities Free education and training: 175+ degrees and certifications Equal opportunity Tyson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
