Job Description
Job Function Performs specialty and routine custodial, housekeeping, and facility care work involving the cleaning, care, and maintenance of municipal buildings and facilities. Work procedures are well defined and duties are performed on a scheduled, day-to-day basis to ensure City facilities are clean, safe, sanitary, and functional.

Facility Care Crew Lead Essential Duties:
Vacuum, shampoo, sweep, mop, strip, and wax floors and carpets. Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, windows, and interior surfaces. Clean and sanitize offices, restrooms, meeting rooms, and public areas. Restock restroom supplies and remove trash. Set up and break down tables, chairs, podiums, platforms, and related equipment. Move furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed. Deliver supplies to City facilities and departments. Operate and maintain custodial equipment, including floor scrubbers, buffers, and extractors. Report maintenance needs and equipment malfunctions. Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations. Safely handle cleaning chemicals and custodial materials. Maintain safe work areas and secure facilities as assigned. Work independently and collaboratively to support facility operations. Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and City staff. Perform related duties consistent with the position classification.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of and skill in the use of routine and specialty custodial tools and equipment. Knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in custodial and facility care work. Ability to carry out written and oral instructions with minimal supervision. Good hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in indoor and outdoor environments and under varying conditions.Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. One (1) year of experience in custodial or facility maintenance work. General knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in custodial and maintenance work. Valid Florida Driver's License required. Completion of required National Incident Management System (NIMS) training within six (6) months of completion of the probationary period.Essential Physical Skills:
Acceptable eyesight and hearing, with or without corrective devices. Ability to sit, stoop, reach, bend, climb, walk, and stand for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, and exert up to thirty (30) pounds of force or constantly lift, carry, push/pull object. Ability to operate routine custodial tools and specialty floor maintenance equipment.Environmental Conditions:
Work is performed in both indoor office environments and outdoor settings. May include evening, weekend, or shift-based work. Requires use of cleaning agents and exposure to dust, noise, and occasional physical hazards.
