Job Description

Farm Maintenance Technician We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Farm Maintenance Technician to help maintain and repair mechanical equipment used throughout poultry barns and farm operations. This role is responsible for keeping barn systems running safely and efficiently, including ventilation, manure removal, feeding, watering, and egg-handling equipment. Job details Salary $21- $24 Hourly Job Type Full-time, On call for emergencies. Key Responsibilities Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair barn mechanical systems. Work on fans, motors, belts, pulleys, bearings, scrapers, augers, feed lines, waterlines, and related equipment. Maintain and repair MOBA/egg-handling equipment as needed. Troubleshoot feed delivery and water systems. Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime. Respond to urgent equipment issues that affect bird welfare or production. Assist with welding, fabrication, and general farm repairs as needed. Keep tools, parts, and work areas organized and safe. Communicate equipment issues and repair needs to management. Qualifications Mechanical maintenance experience required. Farm, poultry, dairy, or agricultural equipment experience preferred. Ability to troubleshoot motors, bearings, belts, chains, augers, and basic electrical/mechanical systems. Welding/fabrication experience a plus. Must be dependable, safety-minded, and able to work independently. Must be comfortable working in poultry barns and around livestock. Ability to lift, bend, climb, and work in a physically active farm environment. Schedule Full-time position. Some weekend or emergency availability may be required depending on equipment needs.
