Farmers Market Lead & Bakery/Cafe Associate

We're looking for a professional to lead our farmers market booth while also supporting our retail cafe and production kitchen. We are a growing bakery and café focused on high-quality bread, pastries, and thoughtful hospitality. Our farmers market presence is a big part of our brand—we show up early, create a beautiful stand, and connect directly with our community. We're looking for someone with a passion for the food industry and someone who has great customer service experience. Even better, you are a barista or have worked in a profession kitchen before and have some experience. You will lead our farmers market booth and also support our retail café and/or production kitchen. This is a great role for someone who enjoys working independently, engaging with customers, and being part of a small, quality-driven food business. At the market, you are the face of the business—you'll set up, sell, and create a welcoming experience for every customer. You will be a great fit if you: Have a passion for coffee, baking, and food May have experience as a barista or work in a professional kitchen Are comfortable talking to customers and making recommendations Can work independently and take ownership of your space Enjoy working hard in a fast-paced, hands-on environment This can be a full-time or part-time job depending on your interest and availability. Farmers Market days are Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. If you'd like more hours they are available at the bakery & cafe. Duties At the Farmers Market Set up and break down the booth (tent, tables, product display) Focus on developing relationships with customers. Engage and attract people to the booth. Control the cash register and make appropriate change In the Café / Bakery (as needed): Work as a barista or front-of-house team member Assist with basic bakery or production tasks Help maintain a clean, organized workspace Prepare and bake many different types of baked goods following processes and recipes Provide excellent, friendly customer service Handle transactions (cash + POS) Represent the brand with professionalism and energy Maintain consistent product quality Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with local regulations and company policies Coordinate daily production schedules, monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, and place orders as needed Collaborate with management to develop new recipes, improve existing products, and innovate bakery offerings Skills Proven experience in food production, preparation, and baking techniques within a commercial kitchen or bakery setting Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Exceptional customer service skills to engage with clients or retail staff when necessary Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally Join us as a Farmers Market Lead & Bakery/Cafe Associate if you're passionate about serving others, love food, building relationships, and creating beautiful baked goods that bring joy to others!
