Fiberglass Specialist

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Fiberglass Specialist to support operations at the Nutrien plant site in Aurora, NC. This role involves working in an industrial environment to fabricate, repair, and maintain fiberglass systems and components used in plant operations. The ideal candidate has experience in heavy industrial or plant settings and is comfortable working in a safety-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Perform fiberglass fabrication, repair, and installation on tanks, piping, ductwork, and other plant components Prepare surfaces by grinding, sanding, and cleaning prior to fiberglass application Mix and apply resins, catalysts, and fiberglass materials in accordance with specifications Conduct inspections and ensure all work meets plant and safety standards Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders Work alongside maintenance and operations teams to complete projects efficiently Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work area Follow all site-specific safety policies, including PPE requirements and lockout/tagout procedures Qualifications 2+ years of fiberglass experience in an industrial, plant, or construction environment Knowledge of fiberglass systems, resins, and repair techniques Ability to safely operate hand and power tools Strong understanding of workplace safety standards Ability to work in physically demanding environments (heat, confined spaces, heights as needed) Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team setting Preferred Qualifications Experience working in chemical, mining, or fertilizer plants Familiarity with FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) systems OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Confined Space and/or Fall Protection training Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience Overtime opportunities available Per diem (if applicable) Health benefits (if applicable) Opportunity for long-term work and advancement Work Environment Industrial plant setting Exposure to outdoor conditions, noise, and industrial equipment Strict adherence to safety policies is required at all times How to Apply Apply directly through Indeed or call the office and we will send you an application
