We are proud to support operations at Nutrien's PCS Phosphate facility in Aurora, NC — one of the largest integrated phosphate production sites in the world. We are committed to maintaining the highest safety standards across all our projects and are seeking a qualified Safety Manager to lead safety efforts across the entire site.Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive, experienced Safety Manager to oversee all safety operations throughout the PCS Phosphate plant site. This role is critical in ensuring full compliance with MSHA regulations , client standards, and internal safety policies. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with in-depth experience managing safety on complex industrial sites.Key Responsibilities:
Must have MSHA expereince; to be an MSHA instructor. Lead and enforce safety policies, procedures, and compliance across all Triple C crews and subcontractors on site Monitor field activities throughout the entire PCS Phosphate plant to identify and mitigate hazards Ensure compliance with MSHA Part 46/48 , OSHA regulations, and Nutrien site safety standards Conduct daily site audits, safety observations, and job safety analyses (JSAs) Develop and deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and new hire orientations Investigate incidents, near misses, and property damage with timely reporting and corrective action follow-up Collaborate closely with Nutrien's EHS team, plant leadership, and regulatory agencies as needed Maintain accurate documentation and records for inspections, training, and incident management Promote a culture of safety through leadership, engagement, and accountabilityQualifications:
Minimum 5 years of industrial safety experience , preferably in mining, chemical, or heavy construction environments Strong working knowledge of MSHA (required);OSHA 1926/1910
also preferred Proven ability to lead safety programs and drive compliance in a fast-paced, high-risk environment Excellent communication, documentation, and team leadership skills Ability to build strong relationships with crews, supervisors, and plant personnel Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software High school diploma or GED required; Safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, MSHA Instructor, CSST, CHST) highly preferredPreferred Experience:
Experience working on large industrial sites such as Nutrien PCS Phosphate or similar facilities Familiarity with confined space, lockout/tagout, hot work, and mobile equipment safety protocols Ability to coordinate with multiple departments, contractors, and agenciesJob Type:
