The Field Service Technician's primary role is to conduct exceptional field service repairs, which include addressing problems such as emissions, hydraulics, engines, transmissions, HVAC, and electrical issues on heavy construction equipment like dozers, backhoes, front-end loaders, and excavators. Hours for this position will be Monday thru Friday 7am to 5pm, must be able to work overtime. Must have a valid driver license and a good driving record. Related construction equipment experience is preferred for this role. Must be able to obtain a CDL Class B. Must maintain a DOT medical Card. The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development. Key Responsibilities Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repa ir construction equipment using electronic and manual equipment to determine failure . Able to document all work orders properly Must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose Tier 4 emission systems. Must b able to troubleshoot and diagnose EGR systems Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards Performs intermediate repairs and troubleshooting offsite with minimal supervision Performs intermediate troubleshooting, diagnoses of equipment malfunctions, and failure analysis Removes and install parts, disassembles and assembles components to CAT specifications Tests, makes adjustments, and verifies proper operation of all repairs and adjustments Prepares and completes all job related documents, writes service reports, orders parts, and maintains clear customer records; in addition, accesses databases required to complete job Acts as a team leader and mentors/coaches Participates in the quotation of work orders Operates equipment and vehicles with possession of all necessary licenses and certificates Maintains service vehichle inspection records, daily inspections and driver logs as required by the Department of Transportation Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations Maintains all company equipment, tools, and vehicle in a good, clean, and working order Communicates job progress to supervisor and customer as needed Completes assigned jobs and task to meet flat rate time and re-work standards Works overtime as required by workload and customers' needs Completes all assigned Technician Training Path courses and safety training in a timely and proficient manner Projects professionalism with both internal and external customers, including personal appearance; may be relied upon to act as a mentor to lower level Technicians Requires regular and punctual employee attendance Performs other duties as assigned Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy construction equipment using electronic and manual equipment to determine failure. Must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose fuel systems Must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical systems Must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose hydraulic systems Must b able to troubleshoot and diagnose EGR systems Knowledge of safe work procedures and practices Knowledge of equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance Intermediate knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, engines, undercarriage, and electrical Demonstrates proficiency with current computer software, related hardware, and knowledge of machine electronic systems Exceptional skills in customer service Intermediate diagnostic and trouble-shooting skills - preferred CAT ET and CAT SIS Planning and organizing skills to prioritize and plan work activities; uses time efficiently; plans for additional resources Operation and control skills of construction equipment or systems Equipment selection skills to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing Ability to operate a crane and forklift, and obtain required certifications/licenses Ability to meet deadlines and work under fast-paced, time constraining circumstances Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and equipment used in mechanical repair The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objectsBenefits Education and Experience:

Valid Driver's license required Ability to obtain a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and must have an acceptable driving record Must own required tools to perform repairsPhysical Requirements:
Must be able to move objects, and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue Frequently moves materials or equipment weighing up to 80 lb Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina Ascends/descends with gradual or continuous progress by oneself, using both hands and feet and climbs up and down ladders and/or equipment Be able to maneuver safely and work underneath equipment Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect workWork Environment:
Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment Regularly works outdoors around moving mechanical parts and noise level may be loud at times May be exposed to weather extremes when working outside in conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, dust, steam, high-pressure water, and high speed rotating equipment Required to perform work in cramped spaces and/or high placesDisclaimer:
