Job Description

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the organization's economic health, providing valuable insights through financial analysis, and ensuring accurate reporting. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting practices, regulatory reporting, and corporate accounting principles for a company with 55+employees. You will be working with an amazing team. Responsibilities Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and GAAP standards. Manage the general ledger accounting process, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely. Conduct financial forecasting and analysis to support strategic decision-making. Ensure compliance with regulations and internal controls to mitigate risks. Prepare regulatory reports for governmental agencies as required. Perform account reconciliation to maintain accurate records of all accounts. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that drive business performance. Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor budget variances throughout the year. Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Reconcile bank statements and prepare a profit and loss report monthly. Skills Strong knowledge of governmental accounting practices and regulatory reporting requirements. Proficiency in general ledger accounting and corporate accounting principles. Experience with compliance and internal control frameworks. Excellent financial analysis skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets. Strong account reconciliation skills to ensure accuracy in financial reporting. Familiarity with IFRS standards is highly desirable. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
