Job Summary We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. This position plays an important role in keeping our day-to-day accounting, Assist in payroll, inventory, and financial records accurate and organized. The ideal candidate will have a solid accounting background, be comfortable working independently, and enjoy being part of a hands-on, fast-paced dealership environment. Experience with equipment or automotive dealership accounting, ADP Payroll, and dealership management systems such as IntelliDealer or CDK is highly beneficial. We are looking for someone who understands not only accounting principles, but also how transactions flow through the business—from purchasing and ledgering equipment into inventory to paying vendors, processing payroll, reconciling accounts, and preparing accurate financial reports. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and other financial reports. Process and manage employee payroll , including payroll reporting, deductions, taxes, and reconciliations. Maintain the general ledger and perform regular account and balance sheet reconciliations. Manage and assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable . Accurately ledger equipment and inventory purchases , ensuring equipment costs, payables, inventory accounts, and related transactions are recorded correctly. Understand and manage accounting entries associated with equipment purchases, inventory transfers, flooring/floorplan transactions, sales, and cost of goods sold. Review accounting transactions for accuracy and correct discrepancies when needed. Assist with cash management, bank reconciliations, and financial forecasting. Work closely with management and other departments to ensure financial information is accurate and timely. Help improve accounting procedures and internal processes as the company continues to grow. Qualifications & Experience Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably in an equipment, automotive, truck, agricultural, or similar dealership environment . Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, debits and credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation. Experience with equipment and inventory ledgering is strongly preferred. Experience using ADP Payroll or a similar payroll platform is preferred. Experience with IntelliDealer, CDK, or another dealership management system (DMS) is highly preferred. Working knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting practices. Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies. Comfortable learning new systems and working across multiple areas of the business.
