Job Description

Certified Public Accountant (CPA)Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with 3-5 years of public accounting experience specializing in tax planning and tax preparation . This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns, developing tax strategies, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and providing exceptional client service. Experience with CCH Axcess Tax is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and other business entities. Develop proactive tax planning strategies to help clients minimize tax liabilities while maintaining compliance. Research tax laws and regulations to provide accurate guidance and recommendations. Communicate with clients to gather financial information and respond to tax-related questions. Identify tax-saving opportunities and advise clients on financial and business decisions. Review financial records and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness. Assist clients with tax notices, audits, and correspondence from taxing authorities. Ensure timely completion of tax filings and adherence to deadlines. Maintain organized client files and documentation in accordance with firm policies. Stay current on changes in tax legislation and accounting standards. Qualifications Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required. 3-5 years of experience in public accounting with a strong focus on tax planning and tax preparation . Solid knowledge of federal and state tax regulations. Experience preparing individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple client engagements and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Experience using CCH Axcess Tax software. Familiarity with CCH Engagement, QuickBooks, or other accounting and tax software. Experience working with small to mid-sized business clients. Knowledge of tax research tools and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Education & Certifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required. Active CPA license required.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
