Job Description
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist in the monthly financial close process by independently identifying and processing the necessary journal entries assigned, including monthly adjusting journal entries required to properly reflect the consolidation of the financial statements. Review the trial balance and financial statements to ensure proper recording and classification of transactions and accounts. Partnering with other departments to ensure all internal controls are adhered to and financial statements are fairly and accurately presented. Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries. Assist in the balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts and working with branches and subsidiaries to ensure all documentation and support is provided for reconciliations. Provide high levels of customer service to Branch Managers and Regional Directors. Communicate accounting procedures to operations and provide support so that all branches are in compliance. Assist in the annual audit process. Prepare ad hoc analyses and complete projects. Other duties as assigned by management.Education/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required. 2+ years of relevant accounting or finance experience required. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across the organization. Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Self-motivated and proactive, with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to identify and solve problems independently. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends or issues, and make recommendations based on findings. Ability to effectively plan and prioritize work, manage multiple responsibilities, adapt to changing priorities, and meet established deadlines. Sound judgment and decision-making skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.Other Duties:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment. Ability to communicate effectively in person and through phone, video, and other electronic communication methods.
