To reconcile, balance, and maintain accounts in accordance with City of Sherwood ordinances, policies, and procedures, and under the financial reporting provisions of Ark. Code Ann. § 10-4-412. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reviews and maintains general and subsidiary ledgers; performs account analysis and prepares assigned reconciliations and adjusts journal entries monthly. Performs monthly reconciliation of receivables, liabilities, and related revenue and expense accounts. Performs monthly reconciliation of cash and bank statements for all city accounts. Prepares year-end schedules and reconciliations in support of the annual audit. Prepares monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports; researches and prepares special reports. Assists other city departments in solving accounting or budget problems. Assists the Finance Director with special projects and creation of related reports as required. Assists with tracking grant funds received and expended. Assists with the procurement process, including coordinating bid announcements and openings. Will act as backup to the payroll administrator. Perform other duties as assigned and/or required. Qualifications Completion of a bachelor's degree in accounting and a minimum of two (2) years of accounting experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
