Job Description
A growing real estate investment company in Carlsbad is looking for a Senior Accounting Specialist to support its corporate accounting function. This position will have exposure to general ledger activity, reconciliations, month-end close, financial reporting, and entity-level accounting. You'll work closely with the Controller and accounting team to ensure financial information is accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post recurring and adjusting journal entriesPerform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliationsMaintain general ledger accountsAssist with monthly and year-end closePrepare supporting schedules for financial statementsReview account activity and investigate discrepanciesMaintain prepaid, accrual, and fixed asset schedulesAssist with intercompany transactions and reconciliationsReview accounting activity across multiple entitiesSupport financial statement preparationAssist with audit and tax requestsMaintain accurate accounting documentationHelp identify opportunities to improve accounting processesSupport the Controller with special projects
