We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing finance team on a contract-to-hire basis. This individual will support month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting operations in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has strong general ledger experience, thrives in a dynamic setting, and is eager to make an immediate impact. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and recurring transactions Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Analyze account activity and investigate variances Support AP and AR functions as needed Maintain fixed asset schedules and related accounting Assist with audit requests and preparation of supporting documentation Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies Partner with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and controls Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2+ years of accounting experience Strong general ledger and account reconciliation experience Experience supporting month-end close Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUP preferred) Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Oracle, or similar Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Preferred Qualifications Startup, technology, e-commerce, or high-growth company experience CPA or CPA-track preferred Experience improving accounting processes and controls Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
