Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Reconcile bank activity across multiple accounts and investigate discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.
- Oversee reconciliation work tied to credit card processors, ensuring transactions are properly matched and resolved.
- Prepare, review, and record journal entries in support of daily and period-end accounting activity.
- Assist with accrual calculations and validate the appropriate cutoff between prior-year and current-year transactions.
- Contribute to month-end and year-end close efforts by organizing schedules, supporting reporting, and helping the team meet accelerated deadlines.
- Support audit and year-end preparation by compiling documentation and responding to accounting information requests.
- Allocate interest-related entries and help ensure related balances are recorded correctly.
- Provide broader general ledger and reconciliation support as priorities shift across the accounting team.
