Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join a busy finance team in Culver City, California on a Long-term Contract assignment. This onsite role will support critical accounting operations during a demanding reporting period, with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, and year-end readiness. The ideal candidate brings solid hands-on accounting experience, works well independently, and can contribute quickly in a high-volume environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Reconcile bank activity across multiple accounts and investigate discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Oversee reconciliation work tied to credit card processors, ensuring transactions are properly matched and resolved.
  • Prepare, review, and record journal entries in support of daily and period-end accounting activity.
  • Assist with accrual calculations and validate the appropriate cutoff between prior-year and current-year transactions.
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end close efforts by organizing schedules, supporting reporting, and helping the team meet accelerated deadlines.
  • Support audit and year-end preparation by compiling documentation and responding to accounting information requests.
  • Allocate interest-related entries and help ensure related balances are recorded correctly.
  • Provide broader general ledger and reconciliation support as priorities shift across the accounting team.
