Job Description
Location:
Foster City, CA (Hybrid - Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursdays in office) What You'll Do Drive Accounting Excellence Prepare and review complex journal entries and supporting analyses for the monthly and quarterly close process. Own key balance sheet and income statement accounts, performing detailed variance analysis and ensuring financial accuracy. Research, analyze, and document accounting conclusions in accordance with U.S. GAAP and Visa accounting policies. Support quarterly and annual reporting requirements, including SEC filing processes and external audit requests. Maintain a strong internal control environment and ensure SOX compliance through effective process execution and documentation. Lead Transformation and Process Improvement Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and eliminate manual activities through automation and technology solutions. Partner with cross-functional teams to redesign financial workflows and implement scalable, best-in-class accounting practices. Leverage tools such as Power BI, AI-enabled technologies, and automation platforms to improve efficiency, reporting, and data quality. Help shape the future state of accounting operations by participating in strategic finance transformation initiatives. Partner Across the Business Collaborate withFP&A, SEC
Reporting, Global Finance Shared Services, Tax, Internal Audit, and other stakeholders to support accurate financial reporting. Serve as a trusted advisor by providing accounting guidance and business insights to cross-functional partners. Support special projects, system implementations, and process enhancement initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness. 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD CPA license (or international equivalent)Preferred Qualifications:
6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD Progressive accounting experience in a combination of public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and publicly traded companies. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls. Experience supporting SEC reporting and external audits. Experience with finance transformation, process optimization, or technology implementation. Experience within a complex, global organization. Proficiency with Oracle, FCCS, BlackLine, or similar enterprise accounting systems. Experience with Power BI, automation tools, AI-enabled technologies, or data analytics solutions. Strong understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and internal control frameworks. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
