This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records while supporting strategic business decisions. The Accountant will collaborate with leadership and other departments to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Job Functions:
(Included but not limited to) Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and reconciliations. Create and process client invoices in the company PSA system, ConnectWise, accurately and on schedule. Ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time in accordance with company policies and accounting standards. Prepare and maintain monthly financial reports and supporting documentation. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other balance-sheet accounts. Monitor cash flow and assist with cash-management activities. Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate accounting records. Support payroll processing and maintain payroll-related records. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax professionals as needed. Support the preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax and regulatory requirements. Manage vendor records and oversee invoicing and billing accuracy. Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and financial processes. Maintain organized financial files and supporting documentation. Collaborate with leadership and department managers to provide financial information and support business decisions. Assist with audits and provide requested documentation in a timely manner. Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.
EXPERIENCE
Three or more years of related accounting experience. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification such as CPA or equivalent preferred but not required. Experience creating and processing client invoices in a PSA system, preferably ConnectWise. Experience using Ramp for accounts payable, expense management, or related accounting workflows. Previous small-business experience preferred. Experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or in the technology industry preferred. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting. Ability to manage workloads and prioritize tasks within established deadlines.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong financial analysis and reporting capabilities. Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through.
