•5+ years of progressive accounting experience , including financial reporting and month-end close responsibilities. Experience managing the accounting function for a professional services, consulting, legal, or project-based business. Strong working knowledge of GAAP, financial statements, and general ledger accounting. Experience with cloud-based accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks Online). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive). Experience working directly with CPAs, payroll providers, and tax professionals. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and manage competing responsibilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and accountability. Ability to handle confidential financial and employee information with discretion. Experience improving processes, implementing controls, and increasing operational efficiency. Prior experience supervising bookkeeping staff or outsourced accounting resources preferred. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
