full-time Staff Accountant - Finance Automation & AI We're partnering with a growing, technology-driven organization seeking a Staff Accountant who brings a strong accounting foundation along with an interest in AI, automation, and improving finance processes . This is a unique opportunity for an accountant who enjoys traditional accounting but also wants to be involved in the future of finance. The role is approximately 60% accounting/finance and 40% automation, AI, and process improvement .
What You'll Be Doing:
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items Support month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, deferrals, and reclasses Assist with internal and external audit requests Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with
U.S. GAAP
Support internal controls and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes Work within the company's ERP system to maintain the general ledger and generate financial reports Identify opportunities to use AI and automation tools to reduce manual work and improve accuracy Partner with Finance and IT to develop and test automated workflows for reconciliations, reporting, approvals, data preparation, exception tracking, and notifications Participate in system implementations and other finance-related projects
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3+ years of accounting, month-end close, audit, or finance operations experience Strong understanding of financial statements, reconciliations, journal entries, internal controls, and
U.S. GAAP
Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables and lookup functions Experience working with an ERP or financial reporting system Exposure to manufacturing accounting is a plus Experience with generative AI, low-code automation, or workflow automation tools is highly desirable Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working cross-functionally with Finance and IT This is a great opportunity for an accountant who is curious about technology and wants to expand beyond traditional accounting into finance automation and AI .
