Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Direct the monthly close cycle by organizing timelines, reviewing financial activity, and helping ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Prepare and record journal entries while maintaining accuracy across the general ledger and related supporting documentation.
- Complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Review financial performance and assemble schedules and reports that support management reporting and decision-making.
- Oversee payroll-related accounting activities, including account reconciliation and adherence to applicable compliance requirements.
- Guide accounts payable operations by monitoring invoice coding, payment processing, vendor activity, and internal control practices.
- Support accounts receivable management through oversight of collections, aging trends, cash application, and customer account balances.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, audit preparation, tax support, fixed asset accounting, and ongoing process improvement initiatives.
- Partner with accounting leadership on special assignments and operational priorities as needed.
