We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a team on a Contract basis. This position is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented accounting specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage complex close activities with accuracy and efficiency. The role will focus on core accounting operations, financial reporting support, and reconciliation work, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in multi-location retail settings.

Responsibilities:

• Lead key month-end close activities, ensuring financial records are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining proper supporting documentation and audit readiness.
• Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Support monthly financial reporting by organizing data, reviewing account activity, and helping ensure reliable results.
• Analyze fixed assets as well as large volumes of financial information using Excel to identify trends, exceptions, and areas requiring follow-up.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to maintain accurate accounting records across a multi-store or retail-focused operation.
• Work within SAP or a similar enterprise system to process transactions and review financial data.
• Contribute to ongoing accounting process support in an onsite environment while meeting compliance and documentation standards.
