A growing distribution company is looking for an Accountant to join its accounting team and support the day-to-day financial operations of a busy, inventory-driven business. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys a hands-on environment and wants exposure to general ledger activity, reconciliations, inventory, AP/AR, and month-end close.

You'll work closely with accounting and operations teams to make sure transactions are recorded accurately and financial information is ready when leadership needs it.

What You'll Do:

Record and maintain daily accounting transactionsPrepare bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliationsAssist with month-end and year-end closePrepare and post journal entriesReview accounts payable and accounts receivable activityAssist with inventory reconciliations and adjustmentsAnalyze discrepancies between inventory and accounting recordsMaintain supporting schedules for balance sheet accountsReview invoices and expense coding for accuracyAssist with prepaid expenses and accrualsMonitor customer and vendor account activityPrepare recurring financial reportsResearch unusual transactions and account variancesAssist with audit and tax documentationSupport the accounting team with special projects and process improvements
