Description A growing distribution company is looking for an Accountant to join its accounting team and support the day-to-day financial operations of a busy, inventory-driven business. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys a hands-on environment and wants exposure to general ledger activity, reconciliations, inventory, AP/AR, and month-end close. You'll work closely with accounting and operations teams to make sure transactions are recorded accurately and financial information is ready when leadership needs it.

What You'll Do:

+ Record and maintain daily accounting transactions

+ Prepare bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations

+ Assist with month-end and year-end close

+ Prepare and post journal entries

+ Review accounts payable and accounts receivable activity

+ Assist with inventory reconciliations and adjustments

+ Analyze discrepancies between inventory and accounting records

+ Maintain supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts

+ Review invoices and expense coding for accuracy

+ Assist with prepaid expenses and accruals

+ Monitor customer and vendor account activity

+ Prepare recurring financial reports

+ Research unusual transactions and account variances

+ Assist with audit and tax documentation

+ Support the accounting team with special projects and process improvements Requirements + 2+ years of accounting experience

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

+ Strong understanding of debits, credits, and general ledger accounting

+ Experience with account reconciliations

+ Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills

+ ERP/accounting software experience

+ Strong attention to detail

+ Ability to meet recurring deadlines

+ Comfortable working with large amounts of financial data
