Senior Accountant | Private Foundation | Palo Alto; Hybrid (1-2 Days Onsite) Join a highly respected, mission-driven private foundation supporting meaningful work across education, the environment, the arts, and community impact. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, you'll gain broad exposure across general ledger, financial reporting, treasury, budgeting, audit, and financial analysis. + Support monthly/annual close, GL, journal entries, and reconciliations

+ Prepare financial reporting and ensure accurate accounting

+ Support annual financial statement audit and external auditors

+ Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

+ Manage banking relationships and treasury activities

+ Support accounting treatment for complex transactions and new activities

+ Identify opportunities to improve processes and internal controls

+ Partner cross-functionally with finance, leadership, and program teams

+ CPA required or successful completion of the CPA exam + 3-8+ years of progressive accounting

+ Must have prior public accounting experience and current industry experience

+ Strong GL, journal entry, reconciliation, and financial reporting experience

+ Month-end close and audit preparation experience

+ Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

+ Collaborative, proactive, and detail-oriented
