Staff Accountant Faith Electric, LLC - 3.5 Redlands, CA Job Details Full-time $80,000 - $100,000 a year 5 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Accounts payable Bachelor's degree Attention to detail Organizational skills Business Administration Full Job Description Faith Electric is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information. The ideal candidate will possess a strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and be comfortable performing account reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close activities, financial reporting, and general ledger maintenance. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while meeting established accounting deadlines. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post monthly journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger accounts. Perform monthly balance sheet and bank account reconciliations. Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. Prepare financial statements, schedules, and management reports. Ensure accounting transactions and financial reporting are completed in accordance with GAAP . Research and resolve account discrepancies and accounting issues. Maintain supporting documentation for financial transactions and reconciliations. Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed. Review expenses, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other general ledger accounts. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external audits. Assist with implementing and maintaining accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable financial reporting requirements. Work collaboratively with accounting, finance, operations, and other departments. Perform additional accounting and financial projects as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Approximately 2-5 years of accounting experience preferred. Very knowledgeable in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and their practical application. Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, accrual accounting, and account reconciliations. Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes. Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis. Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, SAP, or similar systems is preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Preferred Qualifications CPA or CPA candidate is a plus but not required. Experience preparing or assisting with financial statements. Experience supporting external audits. Knowledge of internal controls and accounting best practices. Advanced Excel and financial reporting experience.
