Job Description
Overall Purpose of Position:
To manage day-to-day Accounts Payable activities for multiple entities, ensuring accurate invoice processing, reconciliations, month-end close support, and timely resolution of AP-related matters.Primary Job Responsibilities:
Process and review AP invoices for multiple entities, including 2-way and 3-way matching, GL coding, and obtaining required approvals in accordance with approval procedures. Support month-end close, including AP accruals, subsequent invoice reviews and reconciliation of outstanding AP items. Resolve AP and invoice discrepancies, including on-hold invoices, and coordinate with vendors and internal departments as needed. Perform AP account reconciliations and cleanup, including vendor statement reconciliations, aged invoices, un-invoiced receipts and other outstanding items. Review applicable invoices to ensure sales and use tax is properly charged or accrued. Monitor open POs and coordinate with buyers to close completed or inactive POs. Support internal and external audits by providing AP documentation Prepare supporting schedules for 1099 reporting. Assist with AP process improvements, automation initiatives, and system implementations as needed.Qualifications:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. 4-5+ years of hands-on Account Payable experience. Experience with ERP systems; Oracle experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced, high volume environment. Strong analytical and problem solving skills Good written and verbal communication skills.
