Position Summary:
Reports directly to a Accounting Manager and assists the Accounting Department in creating accurate and timely financial statements for association clients. Essential Functions/Responsibilities Examine accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports, to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards defined by the department. Detail preparation of journal entries. Prepare monthly financials for more complex associations based on monthly schedule and due dates. Prepare bank reconciliations. Review general ledger, records of accounts, and accounts payable for proper coding and make any needed entries and corrections. Review client bank account balances for FDIC coverage and recommend fund investments to clients. Report inconsistencies, issues, or concerns to the controller or chief financial officer Communicate with board members, property managers, customers and associates and respond to any inquiries or issues in a timely and professional manner. Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent in accounting or a related field preferred, and between five and ten years of related experience. Skills and Abilities Ability to work independently. Ethical conduct and excellent financial management skills Must be organized, very detail oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize in fast-paced environment Must have exceptional customer service skills Be able to take accounting related phone calls. Excellent written and oral communication skills Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Strong organization, problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to manage priorities and workflow Ability to work under stress, with interruptions, and meet all deadlines Ability to process verbal information and input this information into computer system Ability to follow complex instructions Ability to master basic math skills Ability to think logically in following procedures and instructions
